[Chennai Korea Week] Year-End Appreciation Dinner

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Chennai hosted the Year-End Appreciation Dinner on December 10 (Wednesday) at the Chinese restaurant of The Leela Palace Hotel.

Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Minister for Information Technology and digital servicies of the Government of Tamil Nadu, praised the recent achievements in cooperation between Korean companies and the state of Tamil Nadu in the shipbuilding sector. In response, Consul General Kim Chang Nyun delivered a message of harmony by singing a song symbolizing cooperation between the two countries, receiving enthusiastic applause from the attendees.

Held as part of Chennai Korea Week, the event commemorated bilateral cooperation through a special Korean course meal jointly prepared by Chef Hwang In-sook of the Consul General’s Residence and Chef Nesamani Adaikkalam of The Leela Palace Hotel. The menu included pumpkin porridge, cucumber seon, three-color jeon, and a unique “Korean Thali,” blending Korean and Indian culinary traditions, which was served to the guests.
